Ole & Steen Bakery Extraction Canopy
Vortex designed, manufactured and installed a bespoke extract and supply air canopy at Ole & Steen’s new site in Oxford. The canopy had to be mounted over 2.5m high ovens and incorporate a safe access walkway for the maintenance / cleaning of the associated ductwork / plant.
Sunderland College City Campus
Corsair was approached by one of its leading distributors to work with them in the tendering process for the high-profile brand new City Campus for Sunderland College, the latest and most advanced of its four campus sites.
Involvement at the outset was key to the successful conclusion of the project, ensuring that the Vortex Atlantic Ceiling formed an integral part of the structure of the training kitchens. The integrated extraction, fresh air and lighting solution effectively did away with the requirement for a suspended ceiling and all associated costs.

So, imagine the situation, the summer mad-rush in its final throes and a builder waiting on site for his ventilation contractor to turn up and install the full system solution. No answers to his calls or his emails and then an email arrives on the installation day saying they had stopped production and would not be able to fulfil the order!!
