Project Brief
IBIS hotel in Thurrock needed powered fresh air adding to their kitchen to comply with current legislation.
The Solution
This called for our Vortex-POD, the self contained supply air module which can be easily retro fitted into kitchens with the minimum of expense and disruption.
The unit is complete with integral single phase axial fan unit and fan speed controller to adjust the incoming air volume. Externally the Pod has an intake weather cowl and egg crate grille. Primary filtration is achieved with an integral EN779 G4 filter cartridge, whilst the internal stainless steel diffuser is fitted with an additional stage of easily replaceable disposable filter media. Corsair supply the full range of replacement filter packs from stock to keep the unit operational.
The Vortex Pod is a slimline unit which does not project into the kitchen, therefore taking up minimal space.
Each Vortex Pod is designed to handle up to 1.2m3/s and measures approximately 820 x 500mm.
